Research Project: MAPPING LOCI CONFERRING RESISTANCE TO FHB AND DON ACCUMULATION IN BARLEY Project Number: 0500-00053-003-39
Project Type: Grant

Start Date: May 02, 2011
End Date: May 01, 2013

Objective:
Develop populations and map loci conferring resistance to FHB and the accumulation of DON in two Hordeum accessions (both Hordeum vulgare subsp. vulgare and subsp. spontaneum) with moderate FHB resistance.

Approach:
Advanced barley lines to the BC2F4 generation for phenotyping and genotyping. Map novel QTL for resistance to FHB in barley.
