Research Project: A GENOME-WIDE SCREEN TO IDENTIFY NOVEL GENES FOR FHB RESISTANCE Project Number: 0500-00053-003-38
Project Type: Grant

Start Date: Apr 24, 2011
End Date: Apr 23, 2013

Objective:
Use high throughput approaches in Arabidopsis and barley for identification of novel plant genes that confer resistance to DON.

Approach:
Characterize the novel loci and determine if loss-of-function of these genes confers resistance to Tcin. Using a similar approach, PI will screen the activation tagged barley population against trichothecenes.
