Research Project: MANAGEMENT OF POTATO VIRUS Y

Objective:
1. Develop and maintain a project website that will be used to facilitate project meetings, reports and communications, as well as, to post information for stakeholders; 2) evaluate aphid transmission efficiency of PVY strains.

Approach:
The website will serve as a conduit for communication among the project scientists and staff as well as a useful source of information for all stakeholders served by the project. The site will also serve as a portal for much of the data management for the project that involves scientists and collaborators from 17 U.S. states. Aphid transmission experiments will investigate the efficiency of transmission from plants infected with individual strains of PVY as well as mixtures of strains.
