Independent research related to the main objectives of aquaculture research.
1b.Approach (from AD-416):
Develop a way to characterize genes and enzymes involved with geosmin biosynthesis.
This project normally provides graduate students from the Department of Biology, University of New Orleans, to work on their research projects with scientists at the Southern Regional Research Center in New Orleans, LA. During this review period, no students have been working at the Center, and as a result, there is no specific progress to report.
