Research Project: IMPROVEMENT OF NEWCASTLE DISEASE VIRUS VACCINES FOR AFRICA

Objective:
Produce large stock of vaccine virus for lyophilization and evaluation of the viability and effectiveness of vaccines in eggs and chickens.

Approach:
1. Large scale of production of vaccine viruses and evaluation of titers (months 1-3). 2. Evaulation of stability of lyophilized tablets (months 4-9). 3. Evaluation of final formulation capacity to generate an immune response in chickens (months 7-9). 4. Final report (month 9).
