Location: Crop Production Systems Research Unit

Project Number: 6402-13000-003-00
Project Type: Appropriated

Start Date: Jan 03, 2011
End Date: Feb 06, 2012

Objective:
Design improved irrigation technologies and automated scheduling techniques to detect crop water status and provide site-specific water application guidelines.

Approach:
The research will develop production systems and identify management practices that improve soil quality and increase profitability by incorporating conservation production practices, alternative crops and crop rotations. Profitability of management practices and production systems will tested with economic analysis.
