Research Project: MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY/OHIO AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CENTER AND USDA-ARS Project Number: 3605-13000-004-10
Project Type: Nonfunded Cooperative Agreement

Start Date: Nov 02, 2010
End Date: Nov 25, 2011

Objective:
This cooperative research project outlines the agreement between the OARDC and the USDA-ARS to cooperate in a research program at the North Appalachian Experimental Watershed (NAEW) near Coshocton, Ohio. This project involves hydrological and water quality investigations and other such programs of agricultural research as may be mutually agreed upon. This project will be conducted on land owned by the US Government, leased by the US Government from the Coshocton County Commissioners, or other experimental areas as needed. This agreement replaces the MOU of 1979.

Approach:
Data from instruments monitoring watersheds, weather, soil and ground water, and other components of a landscape, as well as air, soil, vegetative, and other samples will be used to investigate the effects of land, crop, and animal-management activities that affect hydrology, water quality, soil quality, and other factors as necessary for specific projects.
