2011 Annual Report
1a.Objectives (from AD-416)
To develop a cost-effective, sustainable, statistically based monitoring program that is sensitive to fundamental changes in ecosystem structure and function through an adaptive research process.
1b.Approach (from AD-416)
The objective will be addressed through the completion of three basic modules: . 1)Develop data-based ecological site stratification system and refine existing State-and-Transition models. . 2)Evaluate potential integration of high resolution aerial photography into monitoring system. . 3)Complete monitoring program design.
3.Progress Report
During FY 2011, we completed work on integration of high resolution aerial photography. We also initiated planning for the monitoring program design based on modules 1 and 2. We communicated with cooperators via e-mail, phone, and an on-site meeting at Lake Mead.
