Experiments were carried out by an exchange visit by a Food Science student from Purpan, who carried out enzymatic experiments to enhance the value and utility of co-products derived from the castor crop.
The agreement was established in support of Objective 3 of the in-house project, the goal being to identify means to enrich ricinoleate content.
Monitoring: The agreement was monitored by monthly emails. It included an exchange visit by a Purpan student that ended in October, 2009 with daily discussions on research progress.
