2009 Annual Report 1a.Objectives (from AD-416) To identify immunogenic coccidia antigens which elicit protective immune response against coccidiosis. 1b.Approach (from AD-416) Identity of surface molecules of Eimeria which are recognized by hyperimmune rabbit serum provided by our Cooperator, obtention of coccidia antigens in vivo testing of their vaccination potential. 3.Progress Report This agreement is to develop a recombinant coccidiosis vaccine in meat-type birds. ARS provides expertise in molecular biology and immunology. In this reporting period, ARS, together with Hipra Laboratories, identified several immunogenic Eimeria proteins as potential vaccine candidates.
