2010 Annual Report
Research continued to investigate the ability to combine multiple genes important for soybean seed meal quality into a single soybean line. The project progressed by incorporating the missing gene conferring the low phytate trait into the germplasm. Efforts are currently focused on characterizing the phenotypes of all developed lines and identifying lines that may be suitable for germplasm release.
Monitoring activities included email exchange of information and results in quarterly reports, and participation in the United Soybean Board Soybean Seed Composition Workshop in February in St. Louis, Missouri.
