2008 Annual Report 1a.Objectives (from AD-416) Identify genes controlling beta glucan content in oat. 1b.Approach (from AD-416) Association mapping in elite varieties. 3.Progress Report This is the first year of this project. We isolated DNA from more than 200 oat lines from public breeding programs in the U.S. and Canada and genotyped these lines using RAPD markers.
