The MOU defines in general terms the basis for which both parties will cooperate and, conditions for the RDA resident scientist to be dispatech to ARS.

3.Progress Report

This report serves to document the 1st extension of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) of USDA and Korea’s Rural Development Administration (RDA). The Administrators of ARS and RDA signed a Memorandum of Understanding to help strengthen the cooperation between the Parties and focus the mutual interest in the broad areas of animal science, plant science, soil science, agriculture and other additional fields as may be mutually decided upon by the Parties. To this end, the Parties should jointly explore and coordinate research activities of mutual interest, which should be implemented by mutual understanding and in conformity with the regulations and policies of both Parties. This MOU provides an umbrella agreement that facilitates cooperation between ARS and RDA described in 0210-22310-002-70T-26293.
