Objective:
Develop web-based interactive software to facilitate and increase efficiency of transfer of genetic material covered by material transfer agreements.

Approach:
Purchase a license to use the SharePoint software and contract services to fit it for PVMI and Tri-State needs. Work with potential system users (Researchers, Experiment Stations, Propagation Laboratories and Commercial Entities) to define system requirements. Update and enhance the PVMI website to act as a full service portal for Potato Cultivar Information, Evaluation and Licensing. Evaluate the effectiveness of the site among the users and if effective, publicize, so that the system can be adapted for other public/private potato licensing companies elsewhere in the US.
