Technology Description: The invention relates both to a device and methodology for reducing the forces necessary for the baling of material such as cotton. Compression platens are shaped to conform and distribute energy more effectively to bale binding sites. Significant cost savings result from a marked reduction in energy consumption and a downsizing in system requirements.
