Matthew Tarver

Research Geneticist (Insects)

 

Matthew R .Tarver is a Research Entomologist with the Honey Bee Breeding, Genetics, and Physiology Research Unit.  He received a B.S. (2002) and M.S. (2005) in Entomology from Purdue University and a Ph.D. in Entomology from the University of Florida (2009).  His M.S. research was with Dr’s. Barry Pittendrigh and Larry Murdock on the evolution and understanding of resistance to transgenic crops.  He then undertook a Ph.D. in the laboratory of Dr. Michael Scharf working on termite physiology and developmental biology.
