RESEARCH INTERESTS

The primary objective of my research program is to improve corn germplasm and corn cropping systems in the southeastern U.S.  The research program emphasizes the identification of aflatoxin resistance germplasm and the subsequent deployment of this resistance into inbreds that confer higher yields in adapted hybrids.  Additionally, this research project is focused on the development of unique cropping systems for corn and other warm season grain crops grown in rotation with winter legumes.
