SUMMARY OF CURRENT RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

Serves as a research scientist at the USDA-ARS National Soil Erosion Research Laboratory in the areas of soil physics, hydrology and remote sensing. Conducts field and modeling research that integrate remotely sensed measurements of surface soil moisture with other spatial data sets to estimate soil moisture availability and chemical transport in the vadose zone at field and watershed scales to more effectively manage water resources and improve crop production. Plans, supervises, and coordinates data collection and field experiments necessary for research studies in watershed hydrology and water quality, while supporting large scale airborne and satellite remote sensing campaigns.
