Research Interests

The isolation, characterization, and development of methods to measure toxins in poisonous plants.

Significant Accomplishments

· Developed enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) for a variety of plant toxins.

· Isolation and toxicity determination of individual enantiomers for a several plant toxins that exist in plants

as enantiomeric pairs.

· Isolated, characterized and quantified the steroidal saponins in switchgrass.
