Technical Responsibilities:

 

Responsible for conducting research which focuses on insect molecular biology and toxicology, including resistance to insecticides in crop pests in the Mid-South area. Research emphasis is placed particularly on studying the tarnished plant bug and other insects of cotton, corn, and soybean.  Of particular interest are the enzymatic activities of protective enzymes which break down pesticides into less toxic chemicals and their correlation with resistance.
