Technical Responsibilities:

Provides support to chemical ecologist in the maintaining of cultures of whiteflies, Lygus plant bugs, parasitoids and aphids.   Maintains greenhouse cotton, alfalfa and other desert plants.  Maintains literature and reference materials and bibliography databases.  Prepares chemical standards.  Maintains inventory of pure chemicals, samples and GC-MS standards. Records and prepares experimental data.  Collects and separates field insects and assists in field trapping experiments. Assists in use of GC-MS for analysis of trace pheromone components in insects. Pays bills and maintains records of financial transactions.
