Specific interests are to quantify the subsurface flow processes governing the initiation, development and migration of ephemeral gullies, evaluate the effect of conservation management practices on infiltration and erosion; assess the impact of ephemeral gully erosion of soil properties; quantify seepage and effective stress relations on stream bank erosion and gully erosion; and to develop and evaluate models for describing and methods of controlling subsurface flow induced erosion processes.
