Welcome to the Agroecosystems Management Research Unit

The mission of the Agroecosystems Management unit is to quantify the complex interactions within crop, animal, and watershed scale systems in order to develop solutions that increase the efficiency and resilience of the system and decrease the potential environmental impact of production systems at the field, farm, and watershed scale.  There are three projects within this unit are: Enhancing animal production systems to increase natural resource utilization and reduce environmental impact; Cropping systems to enhance sustainability and environmental quality in the Upper Midwest; and Field and watershed management to enhance environmental quality.
