MISSION:

The mission of the Livestock Behavior Research Unit is to develop scientific measures of animal welfare, through the study of animal behavior, physiology, nutrition, neurophysiology, and cognition. Research results will allow for an objective evaluation of animal agricultural practices and the improvement and/or development of practices that can enhance animal welfare and increase productivity.

The Livestock Behavior Research is located in West Lafayette, IN and is part of the Midwest Area.
