Photo editors and others now can download high-quality photo
images of farm, food and scientific subjects from a new digital archive on the
World Wide Web.
The Image Gallery of the Agricultural Research Service holds more
than 200 images in nine categories. They are: plants, crops, fruits/veggies,
animals, insects, education, illustrations, lab research and field research.
New images are continually being added.

Each image in the gallery can be downloaded in three sizes:
thumbnail, in-line size and full screen. Photo credits and captions are

The images being added to the gallery are among the best of
thousands of photographs produced by the Photo Unit over the years. Most were
taken to illustrate stories about scientific projects published in ARS
award-winning magazine, Agricultural Research. Recent
