A hydrologist studies water and its
properties, particularly as it behaves as rainfall or in lakes, streams and
even in soil. A hydrologist's top interests include where water can be found
and the cycle of its movement: from the time it lands on the Earth as rain or
other precipitation, to its travels on, through and under the land and its
eventual return to the ocean.
