An agronomist studies crops and soils
and how they interact--and how farmers can get them to interact differently to
grow better crops and keep the soil healthy. The crops may be field crops like
corn, horticultural crops such as lilies and azaleas, aquatic (water) crops
like cranberries, or conservation and pasture crops such as grass and clover.
