Meat-eating dinosaurs like
this Albertosaurus at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago are long
gone (phew!). But well before this big critter roamed the Earth came another
ancient hunter. And, it is still alive today.
The
velvetworm doesn't sport razor-sharp teeth to tear chunks from its prey.
Instead, this living fossil uses an altogether different strategy.
