 Melaleuca leaf weevil
 Melaleuca sawfly

Melaleuca is native to Australia. It
isnt a problem tree there. Why not? Because some insects that live there
like to eat the melaleuca!
So, the scientists, who are stationed
at the Agricultural Research Services Australian Biological Control
Laboratory, spend much of their time outdoors, looking very carefully at
melaleuca trees to find insects that are eating them.
