Inside one of these plump wax moth cadavers are thousands of wiggly
nematodes, ready to serve as biocontrols against soil-dwelling crop pests. The
cadavers can be placed in orchard or greenhouse soil, and the nematodes will
emerge to protect crops from pests such as citrus root and black vine weevils.
