The Chesapeake Bay’s health is in jeopardy from sediment, fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, and other contaminants coming from its 65,000-square-mile watershed. A recent Executive Order emphasized the importance of protecting and restoring the bay. ARS is partnering with experts throughout the public and private sectors to find new technologies and improve existing tools for cleaning up this national treasure.
