Agriculture in a Changing Climate

“No one nation can solve this problem by itself. We need the United States, ... and every other country on earth doing everything that they can do to make the right choices in order to meet this challenge head-on. This is the most quintessentially global challenge that we have ever faced. It really demands a global solution.” (US Secretary of State John Kerry, Jakarta Indonesia February 17, 2014) .

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Climate Change Science Plan (the Science Plan) "provides a guide for the Department and its stakeholders to enable clear and consistent consideration of current and potential investments in climate change science activities. This Science Plan presents an overview of the critical questions facing the Department’s agencies as they relate to climate change and offers a framework for assessing priorities to ensure consistency with USDA’s role in the Federal Government’s broader U.S. Global Change Research Program."
