Notes
Proteins in the wheat endosperm proteome are identified using mass spectrometry. Peptides produced from 2D gel spots are analyzed utilizing different mass spectrometers. Initial identifications by MALDI-TOF MS (peptide mass mapping) were carried out using a Bruker Reflex II (Bruker Daltonics, Billerica, MA). Subsequent identifications by MS/MS were performed using either a Finnigan LCQ Classic or an API QSTAR Pulsar i hybrid quadrupole-TOF instrument. MS and MS/MS experiments were performed with the QSTAR configured either with the ESI source or the o-MALDI source.
