Current Nutrition Studies
The Grand Forks Human Nutrition Research Center is always looking for volunteers to participate in community studies. In community studies, volunteers live at home but take their meals at the Center.
Exercise Genes: Genomic associations with exercise reinforcement
We are looking for participants to join our study exploring how metabolism and genetics are connected to exercise behavior and motivating factors.
Fat burning after a meal
We are seeking volunteers to participate in a research study looking at how the addition of a sugary drink with your meal will change the rate in which your stomach empties and how your body uses the energy provided by the meal.
The Breathe Light Study
We are seeking volunteers to participate in a research study looking at how the amount of calories we eat affect the composition of our breath. We invite you to be in a study to develop a novel, non-invasive method that will provide personalized feedback during dietary interventions as a marker for compliance.
Blood Cell Responses to Exercise
We invite you to join a study to determine how platelets (blood cells that form clots) respond when a person performs an initial period of moderate exercise.
