Mission

Provide the science for sound land and livestock management. The research focuses on productivity, weed invasions, species composition, and water, carbon, and nitrogen cycles of Great Basin rangeland and meadow plant communities. Specific projects address the impacts of grazing, fire, invasions by juniper and other species, and climate on rangeland and meadow plants. The location is also committed to technology transfer and community outreach activities.
The Range and Meadow Forage Management Research is located in Burns, OR and is part of the Pacific West Area.
