 Neil Baker

 
Neil is a senior in Mechanical Engineering assisting Dr. Larry Wagner at the Wind Erosion Laboratory.  Neil sets up and runs the outdoor wind tunnel to conduct field research into conditions that are conducive to loose, flat residue being blown off fields.  The resulting data will be used to develop a "blowing residue" function that will be incorporated into the ARS Wind Erosion Prediction System (WEPS).

Jack is a Ph.D. student in the department of agronomy at Kansas State University. His research interests include soil and water conservation, soil wind erosion control, residue management on soil properties and productivities. He is currently working on the effect of residue removal on soils and crop yields and fertilizer management on wheat straw strength.
