Dr. Josephine M. Boac is a research associate at the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at Kansas State University. Her main research is conducted at the research grain elevator located at USDA-ARS Center for Grain and Animal Health Research in Manhattan, Kansas. She focuses on identity preserved and improved grain handling in commercial elevators, modeling movements of grain and insect-infested grain in handling equipment using Discrete Element Method, measuring stored-grain packing factors, reducing dust emissions from grain handling operations, and dust particle sizing using laser diffraction method.
