Research involves short- and long-range projects of basic and applied research examining the cryobiology, cryogenics of insects used in biological control and sterile release programs.  Studies include examination of dormancy, cold tolerance strategies, and development of germplasm cryopreservation technology for screwworm and fruit flies.
