Experience

 

·          1999 – Present – Engineering Technician, USDA-ARS, Grain Marketing and Production Research Center, Manhattan, KS.  Responsible for planning and conducting research projects in a 55,000 bushel capacity experimental grain elevator. Areas of research include incidence and spread of insects from grain handling facilities, the use of heat treatment as a method to control insects in on-farm grain storage bins, improved aeration control strategies, identity preserved grain handling, and reducing dust emissions from grain handling operations.

 

·          1994 – 1998 – ConAgra, Inc., Grain Processing Company, Omaha, NE. Managed and operated a 2 million bushel capacity wheat elevator supplying a 9,200 cwt flour mill. Planned and scheduled the daily milling operation, providing customers a consistent product and timely deliveries, while minimizing plant downtime. Also, directed a three-shift packing and loading warehouse operation, while supervising two confidential multi-million dollar projects.
