Tom is a lead scientist and works on developing high speed, high throughput, non-destructive instrumentation and machinery to inspect characteristics of grains and other agricultural products. Current projects include use of near infrared spectroscopy and imaging to detect corn contaminated with mycotoxins and use of acoustics to detect individual kernels of wheat infested with insects.
