Responsibilities

I conduct research in the general areas of conservation and characterization of vegetable crop biodiversity. I curate the U.S. germplasm collections (all or parts) of Concolvulaceae, Malvaceae, Cucurbitaceae and Solanaceae. These include collections of curcurbits, Ipomoea sp., luffa, okra, eggplant, gourds, chile peppers, and watermelon, and the clonal collection of sweetpotato maintained in tissue culture.
