Responsibilities

I am responsible for providing the curators with plant pathology support which includes diagnosis of greenhouse and field disease and insect problems, as well as service testing and screening support. I am responsible for inspections and seed treatments required for distribution. I am also the germination lab supervisor and the Unit's collateral duty safety officer. In a small Unit like ours, all of us may do "other duties as required" which for me may include helping out in the molecular lab, applying pesticides, helping harvest seed, or whatever may be a current need.
