August 10-15, 2009: Dr. Mian Chaired a session on soybean aphid research and present an invited talk titled “Characterization of aphid resistant soybean lines, development of resistant cultivars, and soybean aphid biotypes in USA” at the World Soybean Conference – VIII, held in Bejing, China.
April 13-18, 2008: Dr. Mian was invited to make a presentation titled “Identification of Sources of Soybean Aphid Resistance and Mapping of a Dominant Gene” in the 5th International Crop Science Congress held in ICC Jeju, Korea.
April 09-12, 2008: Dr. Mian was invited to visit the “National Institute of Crop Science” of RDA in Suwon, Korea to discuss possible research collaborations and to present an invited seminar on “Marker assisted breeding for genetic improvement of soybean”.
