American Red Cross blood mobile at the NPRL

The NPRL hosted our 3rd blood drive for the American Red Cross on March 25, 2011. The American Red Cross set a goal of 30 pints of blood and the lab is proud to report we, and the community, exceeded that goal by donating 33 pints.

Blood isn't just for surgeries. Sometime it's used in cancer treament. In three blood drives, the NPRL has collected over 90 units in honor of the granddaughter of one of our co-workers.

Jesse's 20 month old granddaughter, Ida Marie, was diagnosed with Acute Childhood Leukemia in Dec. 2009 and has received treatment since then. Today at 3 years of age, Ida Marie is doing well and we're praying she will be cancer-free very soon.
