Bonsai Woodblock Print

Unique Prints on Exhibit at the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum

Reflections of Bonsai in Woodblock Prints is a collection of original Japanese woodblock prints covering a period of about 250 years — from the Edo period through the Meiji period to the present. Made for the middle classes, the prints in this exhibit portray scenes of everyday life in Japan prominently featuring bonsai and related art forms. From the permanent collection of the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum as well as private collectors, these prints are on display in the Special Exhibits Wing of the museum through August 1, 2004. Free.
