EMFSL scientists are located in multiple buildings across the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center (BARC). Visitors may contact EMFSL scientists directly to arrange for a visit or obtain detailed travel directions. International visitors may need to contact their embassy or the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service (see bottom of this page) for assistance in obtaining approvals for a site visit.

Visitors to BARC-West must obtain visitor badges at the security desk in Building 003, located at 10300 Baltimore Avenue (US Route 1), approximately 1/2 mile north of the junction with the Capital Beltway (I-495).
Visitors to BARC-East must obtain visitor badges at Building 209 located just off Powder Mill Road, approximately 0.8 miles east of Edmonston Rd and approximately 2.3 miles west of the Baltimore-Washingon Parkway.
The ARS National Visitor Center closed in October 2011 and no longer provides tours of BARC. More information about ARS Research can be found online at www.ars.usda.gov.
