There are a variety of scientific disciplines working at this laboratory to prevent non-indigenous weeds and/or diseases from destroying valuable plant crops in the United States.  Among the research disciplines at work here are plant pathologists,  molecular biologists, plant physiologists, and biologists. We all share common goals.
