The Forage-Animal Production Research Unit located in Lexington, KY is partnered with the University of Kentucky to improve the productivity, profitability, and sustainability of forage-based enterprises. The partnership is currently made up of the FAPRU's staff and approximately twenty University of Kentucky research faculty and their attendant support staff (e.g. graduate students) whom work on two project plans as a unified team. In addition to this partnership, FAPRU Scientists also actively partner with industry (e.g. Waters, Inc. -ergot alkaloid analysis) and other Colleges/Universities (e.g. Berea College, Kentucky State University) to add expertise and resources to the Unit's efforts to solve stakeholder issues.
