Technology Transfer Coordinator for the Pacific West Area. He is responsible for managing the PWA Technology Transfer program, which involves the use use of various agreements such as the Material Transfer Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements (MTRAs), Plant Testing Agreements, Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs), and sometimes Funded/Non-Funded Cooperative Agreements.

Technology Transfer Assistant for Pacific West Area. Mara works with the Technology Transfer Coordinator to execute research agreements and facilitate public partnership for our scientists.

CRADAS: are partnership agreements between ARS and commercial firms that help deliver new technologies to the marketplace.

The CPGRU currently has one CRADA:

CRADA#58-3K95-M-924

Title: "Application of Rice Genomics to Germplasm Evaluation"

Agreement between USDA, ARS, CPGRU Research Geneticist, Dr. Thomas H. Tai and Torrey Mesa Research Institute, a wholly owned subsidiary of Syngenta, AG.  

Work to be performed: Rice microsatellite markers will be developed and characterized. Useful markers will be applied to molecular genetics mapping and germplasm evaluation.
