Current Operations

The NAEW currently operates:

  • 13 recording rain gauges
  • 17 small agricultural watersheds (.65 to 2.71 acres) (0.26 to 1.10 ha)
  • 6 large agricultural watersheds (43.6 to 303 acres) (17.7 to 123 ha)
  • 17 Coshocton Wheel samplers (small watersheds)
  • 6 Coshocton Vane samplers (large watersheds)
  • 1 meteorological station
  • 1 Climate Change Weather Station (NOAA - NWS)
  • 1 ground-water study site (monitoring wells and springs)
  • 3 spring flow stations
  • 3 monolith weighing lysimeters (.002 acres x 8 ft. deep) (.0008 ha x 2.4 m deep)
  • 8 monolith percolation and runoff lysimeters
